Myanmar to host ASEAN chess tournament in June

YANGON, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The Olympic Day Commemorative ASEAN Chess Tournament will be held at Aung San Stadium on June 26, sports circle said Monday.

Jointly organized by Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Sports and Myanmar Chess Federation, the tournament is open for any participants.

The outstanding players from the tournament will be chosen as for the tentatively selected players to take part in the 27th Southeast Asian (SEA)Games.

Chess will be added to the 27th SEA Games for the second time to be hosted in Myanmar next year.
