PARIS, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Spaniard Rafael Nadal claimed a record seventh French Open title on Monday, beating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.

The second-ranked Nadal, playing in his 16th Grand Slam final, broke the record for six French Opens he shared with Bjorn Borg.
