WARSAW, June 17 (Xinhua) -- English winger Theo Walcott is doubtful for their crucial final Group D match with co-hosts Ukraine in Euro 2012 on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Gunner, who scored and then created Danny Welbeck's winner against the Swedes on Friday, suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury in training on Sunday.
"Unfortunately he had a slight setback in training today," said England head coach Roy Hodgson. "He felt the hamstring that kept him out for so long at the end of last season and that we were slightly concerned about when he came to us."
"In the little training session we had today we had to take the precaution of taking him from the field because he felt a slight tightness there," added Hodgson, who will make final decision after Walcott assessed by the squad's medical staff.
England are now the second on goal difference to France in the group, and need no less than a draw from the last round to guarantee a place in the quarterfinals. Ukraine need to win to progress.
