BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese star swimmer Liu Zige, who claimed the only gold for the Chinese swimming team at the Beijing Olympic Games, avoided talking about defending her 200m butterfly title at the upcoming London Games.

"Winning a gold medal at the last Olympic Games doesn't mean I can win every time and everywhere," said the 23-year-old. "I think it's too early to talk about it. All I can do is try my best at the Games."

"I am well-prepared now," she added. "I will follow the plans made by my coach, and everything goes smoothly."

Liu will compete with her teammate Jiao Liuyang in the 200m fly in London.
