Myanmar hails winning diving medals in Singapore

YANGON, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's sports circle on Wednesday hailed the country's haul of a silver and a bronze medal in the just-concluded third Singapore Invitational Diving Championship.

The diving team received a hero's welcome by officials of the Sports and Physical Education Department and the Myanmar Diving Federation.

Zwe Thet Oo secured the silver medal at the U-14 5-meter Platform and Naung Jar won the bronze medal in the 10-meter Platform contest.

In the Team Free Routing of the Synchronized Swimming contest of first ASEAN Swimming Championship 2012 from June 13 to 18, Kay Zin Win, Nan Kham Myat Chu, Thant Thant Su San and Thiri Nandar won broze medals.
