JAKARTA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's IBO (International Boxing Organization) featherweight champion Daud Yordan plans to defend his title for the first time early this October, local media reported on Saturday.
Daud's opponent has not been released. "We can't mention any names yet because things could still change, but he may be from England," said Wahju Prasetyo, the project manager of Mahkota Promotion.
But, no date has been specifically mentioned, although the manager predicted that the contest time would be around the end of September or early October. The venue is not fixed either but Singapore, according to Wahju, is the most likely choice.
"Everything may change but our preference is Singapore," he said.
Daud Yordan's coach Damianus Yordan said that the boxer was in the initial stage preparation for the bout after his wedding ceremony.
"We still have to find sparring partner for a month-long training regime," he said.
Daud won the IBO championship on May 5, knocking out Lorenzo Villanueva of the Philippines in the second round in Singapore.
