US wins Olympic women's 4x100m medley relay gold in world record

LONDON, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The United States clocked a new world record time of 3:52.05 to win the Olympic women's 4x100m medley relay gold medal on Saturday.

The previous world record was set by China in 2009.

Australia claimed silver 3:54.02 and Japan took bronze in 3:55.73.
