Clubs' Cup of Indian Ocean volleyball championships kicks off in Madagascar

ANTANANARIVO, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Clubs' Cup of Indian Ocean volleyball championships kicked off here on Sunday.

The district championship of volleyball has the participation of 6 nations and districts, namely Comoros, La Reunion, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte and Seychelles.

"19 teams, including 11 men teams and eight women, will play 50 matchs in total. This is the 19th edition of the Cup and it will last until Nov. 24," the president of Malagasy federation of volleyball Randrianilana Clarisse said.

"The Clubs' Cup is necessary for us because our goal is to raise the technical level of Malagasy teams," Clarisse added.
