Iran and Saudi Arabia played out a goalless draw in Group B of the 2012 West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Championship, Tehran Times daily reported on Monday.
In the matches that are held from Dec. 8-20 in Kuwait, Iran has been grouped with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.
In another match of Group B, Bahrain beat Yemen 1-0 on Sunday. Iran will play Bahrain on Wednesday.
The WAFF Championship is a tournament for selected West Asian countries. A total of 11 teams divided into two groups of four and one group of three teams are participating in the competitions this year.
