Chinese distance runner Sun Juan has been suspended for two years from competition for doping offence, the Chinese Athletics Association (CAA) announced on Thursday.
Sun, who turns 28 next month, tested positive for testosterone in an out-of-competition test on April 26, 2013, the CAA said in a statement.
Sun was also fined 20,000 yuan (about 3,257 US dollars). Her coach Jin Haipeng was banned for two years and fined 20,000 yuan as well.
Sun was the runner-up in the Xiamen International Marathon in 2010. She also finished fifth in last year's Beijing International Marathon, clocking personal best time of 2 hours 28 minutes 39 seconds.
