WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- American star and Chelsea midfielder Christian Pulisic will miss US exhibition games against Wales on Thursday and against Panama next week, local media reported.
The 22-year-old had been in the US camp which was held in Cardiff, Wales, but he injured a hamstring on Oct. 31 during warmups before his club's match against Burnley, which made it impossible for him to play the friendlies.
But US head coach Gregg Berhalter was eager to see Pulisic in person, according to local media.
"Pulisic had a great three or four days with the team," Berhalter said. "He was able to get treated, and able to be with the guys, connect with the staff again. It was great to see him. Unfortunately, he won't be taking part in the match."
The US will play against Wales in Swansea and then take on Panama in Austria on Nov. 16. Enditem
