LONDON, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Tottenham stay top of the Premier League after grinding out a 0-0 draw away to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's side frustrated Chelsea for much of the game with a disciplined defensive performance, although they had goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to thank for important saves from Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud in the closing stages.

Chelsea have now conceded just two goals in their last nine matches and are unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions.

The point was enough to keep Spurs top, as Liverpool dropped two more points after Pascal Gross' injury-time penalty gave Brighton a 1-1 draw in Saturday lunchtime's clash against the reigning champions.

The home side had already missed a penalty through Neal Maupay after just 20 minutes and VAR ruled out a goal from Mohamed Salah for a narrow offside, before Diogo Jota weaved through the home defense to score his eighth goal in eight games on the hour mark.

However, deep into injury-time, VAR decided Andrew Robertson had caught Danny Welbeck and Gross made no mistake from the spot.

Manchester United ended Southampton's five-game unbeaten record and extended their own winning run away from home to eight matches after an impressive fightback at St Mary's.

Jan Bednarek's header and James Ward-Prowse's stunning free-kick put Southampton 2-0 up at half-time and United were forced to replace the injured David de Gea with Dean Henderson in goal.

Edison Cavani also came on at the break for United and the Uruguayan turned out to be decisive after setting up Bruno Fernandes for his side's first goal in the 59th minute.

Cavani then headed United level with 15 minutes left to play and his movement won him the space to nod home the winner from Marcus Rashford's cross in injury-time.

Wolves won 2-1 away to Arsenal despite losing striker Raul Jimenez after a horrible clash of heads with Arsenal defender David Luiz after just five minutes, causing play to be stopped for 10 minutes as he received treatment.

The visitors weren't affected too badly by the incident and took the lead after Pedro Neto headed home a rebound after 27 minutes. Wolves' lead didn't last long as Gabriel equalized for Arsenal with another headed goal just three minutes later, but Daniel Podence took advantage of some more poor Arsenal defending when he kept his calm to score the winning goal three minutes from half-time.

Arsenal looked for an equalizer in the second half, but they were unable to manage a single shot on target against their well-organized rivals.

Riyad Mahrez scored a hat-trick as Manchester City cruised past Burnley 5-0. Benjamin Mendy and Ferran Torres finished off the rout with goals in the 41st and 68th minute and City have now beaten Burnley 5-0 for four consecutive years.

Raphinha's first goal for Leeds United in the 79th minute of a chaotic game against Everton gave the visitors three vital points to end a series of poor results in a match that either team could have won.

Finally, Connor Gallagher's 16th minute goal gave West Brom their first win of the season at the expense of Sheffield United, who remain bottom of the table without a win and with just four goal from 10 matches.
