SUZHOU, China, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Jiangsu Suning was held to a 1-1 draw by Tianjin Teda in the semifinals of Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup here on Saturday.
Both sides missed their chances to establish advantage before the interval, but Tianjin broke the deadlock in the 48th minute as forward Frank Acheampong scored a header in the box after collecting a long-range pass.
The new Chinese Super League champion Jiangsu then carried out aggressive attacks with rapid transition as Wu Xi's low drive hit against Tianjin's Tiquinho Soares, and the rebound bounced against Tianjin's Liu Yang, finally turning into an own goal in the 72nd minute.
