RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Sevilla and Zenit Saint Petersburg have joined Porto in the race to sign Gremio's Brazil U-23 forward Pepe, according to media reports in the South American country.

Gremio reportedly rejected offers from Europe to sign the 23-year-old in September but the Porto Alegre outfit are now open to new negotiations, the UOL news service reported on Saturday.

Pepe scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 40 matches across all competitions for Gremio in 2020.

Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also previously been linked with the attacker.

Gremio is currently fifth in Brazil's Serie A standings and has reached the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil. Enditem
