BRATISLAVA, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Inter Bratislava edged Iskra Svit 94-89 and took fourth place in the Slovak Basketball League.
Argentinian guard Lautaro Lopez has become a key player for Inter Bratislava and led his team to another victory on Wednesday, scoring 29 points in Svit, grabbing 10 rebounds, and almost achieving a triple-double with 8 assists. His Lithuanian teammate Arnas Berucka was close behind with 27 points.
The home team was up by one point going into the locker rooms at half-time but Bratislava managed to build a 10-point lead in the final stretch.
Elsewhere, third-ranked BKM Lucenec had no trouble defeating Prievidza by almost 30 points, 103-75, to solidify its position in the standings.
Prievidza tried to keep up with Lucenec, but trailed by nine points at half-time and were dominated in the third period, losing it 33-16.
American guard James Murray-Boyles had his best night of the season, leading Lucenec with 30 points and 6 rebounds.
The previously postponed fixture between the Levice Patriots and Prievidza had to be rescheduled again, as several Levice players tested positive for COVID-19. Enditem
