ROME, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Napoli took its revenge on Juventus for its Supercoppa defeat as it won 1-0 in Serie A on Saturday when captain Lorenzo Insigne scored his 100th goal for the Partenopei.

The first leg between the two sides in Serie A was delayed as Napoli failed to make the trip to Turin due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while the Bianconeri won the Supercoppa after a 2-0 victory over Gennaro Gattuso' side.

Napoli went ahead in the 31st minute when Giorgio Chiellini jutted out an arm on Amir Rrahmani's face, the referee awarded the away side a penalty. Insigne kept his cool to convert it.

Chiellini thought he had atoned for his error in the 62nd minute as he set up Alvaro Morata to score, but the veteran was offside when nodding the ball.

Napoli was under constant pressure in the second half, but goalkeeper Alex Meret provided a series of stunning saves, helping Napoli leave Allianz Stadium with three points.

Juve still ranks third place with 42 points, seven points behind leaders AC Milan who suffered a demolishing 2-0 defeat to Spezia.

Facing the newly-promoted Spezia, the Rossoneri surprisingly failed to manage on attempts on target in the whole game.

Spezia broke the deadlock in the 56th minute Giulio Maggiore tapped in totally unmarked from a point-blank range, before Simone Bastoni curled a scorcher into the net.

The Diavolo may hand over the pole position as second-placed Inter Milan will host Lazio on Sunday.

Also on Saturday, Turino shared spoils with Genoa 0-0. Enditem
