BRATISLAVA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- HKM Zvolen confirmed the expectations of the regular-season winner of the Slovak ice-hockey premiership, advancing into the semifinals with a 6-3 win over HC Mikron Nove Zamky.

Being down 0-3 in the series, Wednesday's fixture was the last chance for HC Mikron Nove Zamky to produce a victory and keep the quarterfinal series going - especially in the second period which turned into a highly attractive seven-goal scoring fest.

But Zvolen regained the upper hand by winning it 4-3 and thanks to scoring a goal each in the other two periods took the match down a victorious path, triumphing 6-3 in the end and becoming the second team to reach the semifinals after HK Poprad.

Elsewhere, four times HK Dukla Michalovce took the lead, and four times the home team of Dukla Trencin managed to tie the neck and neck Game four. But Pavol Regenda pulled off his second goal of the night 8 minutes before the end of regulation, enabling the visitors to win 5-4 and stretch the lead in the quarterfinal series to 3-1. Enditem
