SUZHOU, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Jia Xiuquan, head coach of the Chinese women's national football team, said that all his players are mentally and physically ready for the second leg of the Tokyo Olympic qualification playoffs between China and South Korea, which is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu province.
"The keys of the match are unity and good execution," Jia noted in the pre-match press conference on Monday, adding that they must forget the result of the first leg match that the Chinese team took a crucial 2-1 away victory, getting one step closer to win the last Asian ticket to Tokyo.
"Now the two teams have no secrets and therefore the next match could be more difficult," he said. "It will be a contest of mentality and technics, and I believe that we will utilize our strength to win the match."
As the organizing committee plans to introduce 10,000 spectators into the Suzhou Olympic Stadium, the 58-year-old called for more support at home for the "Steel Roses". "I hope more spectators, fans and media to root for the Chinese team, whether they are on the scene or not."
