BEIJING, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Promising small forward Zhu Mingzhen will make his debut at the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

This was confirmed after China announced its 12-player squad for the final group match of the tournament.

Zhu, the No. 2 draft pick by the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league side Guangzhou Loong Lions in 2020, was named in the roster for Sunday's game against Chinese Taipei. China won the two sides' first encounter 115-66 on Thursday.

The 12 players are Zhou Peng, Shen Zijie, Hu Mingxuan, Zhao Jiwei, Zhang Zhenlin, Wu Qian, Lu Wenbo, Zhao Yanhao, Xu Jie, Liu Chuanxing, Wang Shaojie and Zhu Mingzhen.

Wang was included in the team's roster in place of Zhou Qi, who pocketed a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds in Saturday's 90-84 victory over Japan. Ren Junfei was also left out of the squad along with Zhou.

After winning its first three group matches, China booked a ticket to the FIBA Asia Cup later this year. Enditem
