BELGRADE, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Serbian champion Red Star Belgrade beat its Bulgarian counterpart Ludogorets Razgrad 1-0 at home on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League, climbing to the top of Group F with just one more game to go.
The home team patiently waited for a chance to endanger the goal in the crowded Rajko Mitic stadium in the capital of Serbia, not giving space to the opponent team to counter-attack.
The only goal was scored by midfielder Mirko Ivanic in the 57th minute with a powerful shot from 20 meters.
In the final game in Group F, Red Star will play away against Braga from Portugal, and the match will decide which teams qualify directly to the last 16, and which will have to play the playoffs.
