Prior to this season, Sina Sports announced the opening of the independent IP event 2.0. Sina Sports, as the owner of the event, provides a platform for more sports events company via the Points Games model. With 70,000 USD events license fee, 3X3 Golden League is going to achieve nearly zero cost expansion of the scale of the event. As one of the most successful independent IP events in China, the value of the 3X3 Golden League has been recognized by the industry after years of development.

With 4 years development, 3x3 Golden League has grown from 9 cities in 2015 to 82 cities this season. As the scale continues to expand, Sina Sports' investment has increased year by year. “When the scale of the event grows linearly and the cost of running a game increases non-linearly, it is possible for us to operate it efficiently while expanding the coverage of the event.” The broad layout of 3X3 Golden League requires more local quality partners to support.

With the joint efforts of all parties, the Golden League Points Game is gradually growing on the right track, as the four-tiers event system has been initially established. From the top down, the Golden League will include the 3X3 Elite League (SEL), the 3X3 Golden League (SGL), the 3X3 Golden League Province (SGLP) and the 3X3 Point Games (SPG). Each tier has a clear positioning, and the all tiers are well interconnected.

After the authorization, Sina Sports will fully protect the local interests of the company. On the one hand, Sina will guidance and help, and provide partners with good strategies and training courses for the normalization and sustainable development of the event. According to the plan, Sina will also invest in the points system, face recognition system, etc. for the local points game, so that the event will be developed in the direction of data, visualization and socialization. On the other hand, Sina Sports will provide media promotion exposure for the points competition, especially the tracking reports of various local stations on Sina.com, which will help the event promotion and meet the sponsors' equity returns.

"In the past 4 years, we have been thinking about how to make the Golden League go further. But more importantly, our original intention is to attract more people, especially young people, to participate in the tournament and sports," Arthur Wei said. “In 2020, 3X3 Golden League will cover a total of 250 cities with more than 100 cities holding SPG tournament. These efforts can make an impact in a city, a community, and penetrate into the hearts of many young people."
