Beijing, Jun. 12(Sinosoc) -- Goalscorers Tan Wangsong and Xhao Xuri spoke to the Chinese media after their stunning strikes in Saturday's 2-1 WYC victory over Turkey.

"The night before the match I dreamt I would score a goal and in the dream I decided how I would celebrate, but after scoring against Turkey I didn't have time to start my goal celebrations as I was swamped by my excited teammates," said Sichuan defender Tan, who opened the scoring in Utrecht.

"I think winning this game is very normal. You could see that we had many chances. We had a very good game plan and we exploited Turkey's weaknesses. We might have a slight advantage in our group, but we must keep the tension high and try hard in every game."

Dalian midfielder Zhao Xuri, who came on for Gao Lin in the second half then hit China's winner in stoppage time, said: "I didn't expect to score a goal like that, but we knew we should take our chances and not give up. When Hao Junmin's corner was cleared by the Turkey goalkeeper I just shot directly without thinking. After taking the shot I knew it would go in because it was too good a shot.

"I wanted to take off my shirt to celebrate and run around after the goal like I normally do in the CSL, but I realized that I had already got a yellow card, and I would be sent off if I did that. So I told myself to calm down and not take off the shirt. The first thing I did was to turn around and hug my teammates, I didn't want to see the Turkey players' upset faces.

"As long as I have the chance to play games, I will put one hundred percent effort into what the coaches ask us to do. We have beaten Turkey now, and I think it will be easier for us in the next games."

China U20 team manager and CFA vice president Yang Yiming added: "The U20 national team just won a normal game. The future road will still be very tough for them. They still have a lot to learn. But today our game plan was good. We almost ran out of stamina at the end but we were compact and kept good space between the three lines. We put in a lot of effort in midfield and tried to contain Turkey, and we did. Our players showed how anxious they were to win and treated it like a cup final, especially the last few seconds when they showed they weren't going to give up.

"Our next game against Ukraine will be another tough game. Our goal is of course to win that game, but it depends on the players' performance. There's no weak team at the WYC. We have to keep our minds fresh and not be over confident after winning games."
