BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Croat Mario Ancic said Friday that he felt good at the winning comeback in the 500,000 U.S. dollars China Open ATP tournament.

The 22-year-old have secured the fifth consecutive triumph within five days following a 2-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 comeback win over Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia, advancing emphatically into the last four in singles. He also partnered Indian Mahesh Bhupathi to make semi-finals doubles event.

"My knee is OK now, and I do feel surprised by my performance. It is not easy to be back to the match situation after long rest."said Ancic, who suffered a bad knee injury this summer amid a yacht accident in his home.

"I would like to get more match experience and adjust myself. My goal is to play better, and go as far as possible. It is good to reach the semi-finals, and I hope I can play better.

The current world number 12 broke into top 10 ATP rankings on June but was sidelined for eight weeks due to back problems and the knee injury since Wimbledon.

"This is the first time I came to Beijing, I do enjoy every minute I stay here. I like China Open very much, and I would like to come back here next year," said a smiling Ancic, who enjoyed a host-like atmosphere at the Central Court of the Beijing Tennis Center on Friday. Enditem
