BERLIN, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- German defender Christian Pander is fit and ready to make his first appearance for Shalke 04 this weekend after having sat on bench for more than a month to nursing his injured knee.

The 24-year-old full back is expected to show up in Saturday's Bundesliga clash away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

He had been sidelined for five weeks by a knee injury picked up at the end of October, but came through a training session unscathed on Tuesday.

Shalke is currently sixth in the table of the German first division soccer league.
