BERLIN, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Italian striker Luca Toni struck four times as Bayern beat Greek Aris Salonika 6-0 on Wednesday, sealing top place in UEFA Cup Group F.
The victory means Bayern finish the group stage as group winners and unbeaten, thus cruising through to the knock-out stages of the UEFA Cup.
Toni struck four times - twice in each half - in Bayern's sweeping victory over Aris.
Toni opened the scoring after 25 minutes, capitalizing on a goalkeeping blunder by Aris keeper Konstantinos Chalkias after a cross by Franck Ribery.
Chalkias certainly didn't have his best of days, and it was another mistake by the Greek international that gifted Toni goal number two seven minutes before the break.
The 30-year-old was on fire and converted two more Ribery assists midway through the second half to make it four.
Bayern refused to drop a gear, and Christian Lell and Philipp Lahm completed the rout.
Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld made three changes to the team held to a scoreless draw in Berlin last Saturday.
Captain and keeper Oliver Kahn returned from a club suspension in place of Michael Rensing, with Lucio also restored to the side after a Bundesliga ban at Daniel van Buyten's expense. Up front, Lukas Podolski gave way to the fit-again Toni.
