Joaquin double helps Valencia win over Betis in Cup

MADRID, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Joaquin Sanchez scored two early goals to help the visiting Valencia win over Real Betis 2-1 in the first leg of their King's Cup last-16 tie on Wednesday.
The Spain winger, better known for his footwork than his aerial prowess, scored with two headers in the first 12 minutes. Betis cut the deficit early in the second half.
The winner will move on to play either Atletico Madrid or Valladolid, who meet on Thursday, when Real Madrid faces Mallorca.
