Plane carrying Olympic flame leaves Athens for Beijing

BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The plane carrying the Beijing Olympic flame has left Athens for Beijing.

The plane took off at six local time and is expected to land in Beijing at 9 am on Monday.

A torch-welcoming ceremony will be held at Tian'anmen Square at the center of Beijing on Monday.
