PARIS, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Top seed Victoria Azarenka put on an inspiring performance to reach the third round of the French Open with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Dinah Pfizenmaier of Germany on Wednesday.
The Australian Open champion from Belarus committed only 11 unforced errors and converted five of seven break points to devastate Pfizenmaier.
In the first round, Azarenka struggled early before winning 12 of the final 14 games to advance. She committed 60 unforced errors in that opening match
Azarenka reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros last year, matching her best performance at the clay-court Grand Slam.
