October 14th, 2020. BEIJING – Sina Golf will be launching its first edition of Sina Cup - Pro-Am Match Play Golf Tournament at Evergrande Ligong Sports Park in Beijing, China from October 14th to 17th, 2020.
The 4-day tournament features two teams led by Feng Shanshan, the first Chinese player to win an LPGA major championship, and Liang Wenchong, the first Chinese golfer to have reached the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking. Each team consists of 7 male players and 7 female players, including top-level professionals and amateurs. 6 rounds of Four-Ball and 6 rounds of alternate shots are scheduled on the 16th and 12 rounds of bogey competition are scheduled on the 17th. The full event will be streamed on Sina Golf Weibo account, Sina News App and clpga.org.
BMW-Motorrad is the main sponsor of the event, joining hands with official partners JD.com, Callaway Golf, Callisto and HONMA. The event is hosted by Sina Golf, co-organized by Beijing Golf Association, China LPGA Tour (CLPGA) and supported by China Tour. Sina News is the top media partner.
