HONG KONG, Nov. 10(Xinhuanet)-- Hong Kong's Constitutional Development Task Force will publish its fourth report by year's end to facilitate more detailed community discussion on the selection of the Chief Executive and the formation of the Legislative Council, to arrive at a feasible and acceptable option.
Secretary for Constitutional Affairs Stephen Lam told legislators Wednesday that after the report's publication, there will be sufficient time for further consultation with different sectors.
"This will facilitate in-depth discussion on the areas which may be considered for amendment in respect of the two election methods. We will communicate actively with political parties and different sectors of the community to narrow differences of opinion and reach consensus," he said.
He said the taskforce will handle views and proposals transparently, adding these will form the report's basis.
