HK education chief to visit UK

HONG KONG, Jan. 29(Xinhuanet)-- Hong Kong SAR Secretary for Education and Manpower Arthur K C Li will pay an official visit to London, the United Kingdom(UK), from Jan. 30 to Feb. 4, a government press release said Saturday.

Li will meet with British Minister of State for Education Kim Howells to exchange views on lifelong learning, further and higher education of the UK government
.

He will also update senior officials from the Prime Minister's Office and the Cabinet Office on the progress of education reform in Hong Kong and meet members of Parliament, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, heads of UK universities, committee members of the Hong Kong Association, the media as well as Hong Kong students studying in the UK.

During his stay in London, Li will attend a reception at 10 Downing Street.
