Four charter flights fly between Guangzhou and Taiwan

GUANGZHOU, Feb. 6(Xinhuanet)-- Two Taiwan airlines flew four charter flights carrying 321 passengers between Guangzhou, capitalof south China's Guangdong Province, and Taiwan Sunday.

A total of 307 passengers flew from Guangzhou to Taiwan and another 14 passengers flew from Taiwan to Guangzhou.

One plane flew between Guangzhou and Taipei and the other flew between Guangzhou and Kaohsiung.

Chinese mainland and Taiwan civil aviation professionals decided to operate the charter flights specially for the traditional Chinese Spring Festival earlier last month.

The two sides agreed to run the flights from Jan. 29 to Feb. 20between the mainland cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou andTaiwan's Taipei and Kaohsiung. There will be a total of 34 charterflights before the start of the traditional Spring Festival next Wednesday.
