PFP chairman returns to Taiwan from mainland

BEIJING, Sept. 18(Xinhuanet)-- James Soong, Chairman of the People First Party in Taiwan, ended his visit to the Chinese mainland city Xiamen and left for Taiwan Sunday afternoon.

The Taiwan businessmen in the mainland are the vanguard of the exchanges across the Taiwan Straits, said Soong, adding the progress of the across-straits relations are overwhelming.

"Peaceful and stable development is the hope of the people across the straits, who should strive together to create a win-win condition for the entire Chinese nation," he said.

Soong arrived in Xiamen Saturday from Shanghai, where he attended the forum of elites from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan from Wednesday to Friday. Enditem
