BEIJING, Sept. 19(Xinhuanet)-- Famous Taiwan writer and cultural figure Li Ao left Taiwan for the Chinese mainland on Monday for a 10-day "Chinese culture trip", his first trip back to the Chinese mainland in 56 years.
Li is expected to arrive in Beijing at 5:30 p.m. Monday after making a stopover in Hong Kong at noon.
He is scheduled to make speeches in three prestigious Chinese universities, namely Beijing University, Qinghua University and Fudan University.
He will also make some sightseeing trips and meet with his primary school friends.
Li was born in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, in 1935. Enditem
