BEIJING, Sept. 20(Xinhuanet)-- China Post will publish a picture album on Taiwan on Oct. 25 to mark the 60th anniversary of the recovery of Taiwan from Japanese occupation.

A few days earlier, a set of commemorative stamps that go along with the album were issued by China Post.

A ceremony celebrating the first publication of the album will be held in Beijing on Oct. 25.

The album, to be published by the Huawen Press, consists of 650 pictures taken by more than 100 photographers of the mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. The oldest picture was taken more than 100 years ago while the newest one was taken this year.

"They show the beauty of Taiwan, the bonds of blood and flesh between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan and common aspirations on both sides across the Taiwan Straits to rejuvenate the Chinese nation," said an official with the press.

With captions both in Chinese and English, it is for domestic as well as overseas release. Enditem
