Mainland, Taiwan universities to take quiz on cross-strait issues

BEIJING, Oct. 18(Xinhuanet)-- China Central Television(CCTV) and CTI TV of Taiwan will co-host a televised quiz on cross-strait issues from November 22-27 in Beijing, according to CCTV sources.

Almost 200 college and university students from 20 cities in the mainland and Taiwan are expected to participate in the contest.

It will be the fourth of its kind, since the holding of the first contest in 2002.

The organizer voice the hope that the quiz will play a role as a platform for exchanges of college students from both sides of the straits to increase their mutual understanding and friendship and for them to inherit Chinese culture. Enditem
