MACAO, Jan. 2(Xinhuanet)-- Macao's exports and imports rose 14.0 percent and 19.1 percent respectively in November over the same period of 2004, according to official statistics issued here on Monday. The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service showed that the value of exports in the first 11 months recorded a year-on-year drop of 14.3 percent, while the value of imports logged an increase of 11.7 percent. The figures showed that textile and garment exports, which accounted for 77.1 percent of Macao's total export value, have witnessed a slide-down through the first 11 months. Analysts viewed it as a major factor which led to the sharp plunge of the region's exports through the year. Meanwhile, the rise of the imports is mainly due to the climbing fuel prices. Enditem
