Hong Kong Listing company's chairman denies stealing charges

HONG KONG, Jan. 17(Xinhuanet)-- The former chairman and a former executive director of Skyworth Digital, a company listed in Hong Kong, Tuesday denied the earlier charges for allegedly misappropriating company funds.

Stephen Wong Wang-sang, 48, and Wong Pui-sing, 37, respectively former chairman and former executive director of the leading electronics producer, both denied the charges of conspiring with other persons to steal over 48 million HK dollars belonging to Sky worth Digital Technology(Holding) Company Limited.

Magistrate adjourned the case until Jan. 19, 2006 for mention.

The defendants were each granted cash bail of 1 million HK dollars. They were also ordered to surrender all travel documents, not to leave Hong Kong, and not to interfere with prosecution witnesses. Enditem
