M5.2 earthquake hits seas east of Taiwan

HONG KONG, Jan. 22(Xinhuanet)-- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit the seas east of China's Taiwan at 3:13 p.m. local time on Sunday(0713 GMT, Sunday).

According to the Hong Kong Observatory Sunday, the epicenter was initially determined to be 24.0 north latitude and 122.2 east longitude on the seas east of Hualien on the eastern coast of the Taiwan Island. Enditem
