HONG KONG, May 16 (AP) -- Jackie Chan's beloved golden retriever went missing last week and the action star is "heartbroken," Chan's Web site said Tuesday.

The 15-month-old dog named Jones ran off from a home in Hong Kong's busy Mong Kok shopping district, where a gate was left open Saturday, a posted statement said.

Chan's employees spent hours scouring the neighborhood for Jones but didn't find him immediately, the Web site said.

"Jackie is understandably heartbroken since he and Jones have a very close bond," the statement said.

Chan is offering a "substantial" reward to any one who provides information leading to the recovery of Jones, who was last seen wearing a white, red, and black collar, his Web site said.
