TAIPEI, July 7 (AP) -- Taiwan on Friday gave the green light to the island's air carriers to fly cargo charters to and from the Chinese mainland, the Civil Aeronautics Administration said.

The new regulations would allow Taiwanese airliners to fly equipment and components to mainland factories established by Taiwanese companies and return to Taiwan with machinery from the factories, the administration said.
