Exhibition on Marshal Ye Jianying's life opens in Macao

MACAO, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on the life of Marshal Ye Jianying, one of the founders of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), was launched here Wednesday.

The exhibition, with 380 photos and 60 historic momentos on display, was held to mark the marshal's 110th birth anniversary and the 80th founding anniversary of the PLA.

The seven-day exhibition was co-organized by Macao Daily News, the leading local Chinese newspaper, The Bureau of Culture of Guangzhou city and the Guangdong Ye Jianying Research Organization.

Ye was born in Meixian county in Guangdong province in 1897.
