BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Houston Rockets center Yao Ming will arrive in Taipei Friday afternoon for a three-day visit.

The NBA star from the Chinese mainland is scheduled to arrive at Taipei at 3:30 p.m. by a flight of Air Macao and stay at the Sherwood Taipei, according to China Basketball Association (CBA).

This is the third visit by Yao to Taiwan. Yao will visit schools and meet basketball fans. He will take part in a friendly match at Taiwan University Sunday morning.

Besides Taipei, he will also visit Hsinchu.
