MACAO, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Steve Plater of Great Britain claimed his second Macao Motorcycle Grand Prix title in a row as he won the 41st edition of the tournament on Saturday. Plater, on AIM Racing Yamaha 1000cc, clocked 37 minutes 3.845 second to win the 15-lap game, followed by his compatriot John McGuinness with 37:07.965, Thomas Hinterreiter from Austria came third at 37:14.236. The 34-year-old Plater had a lucky day as he and rival McGuinness, who rides on Stobart Vent Axia Honda, encountered two slow riders in the 15th and final lap. Plater was able to pass them but McGuinness, who set a new lap record for the event at 2:26.096 seconds, was baulked for a while and lost the last chance to take the lead. "I enjoy the game, John also had a good game, but I am lucky in the final lap." said Plater. Steve Allan, the 33-year-old from Scotland, was winner of the 600cc Class for the third year in a row, on the AIM Racing Yamaha 600.
