BEIJING, Nov. 25 -- Taiwan pop singer Cyndi Wang Xinling showed up at a meet-and-greet with her fans on Thursday and had great fun flying kites with them.

The Hong Kong-based publication 'Tungstar' reported that the event was promoting her new album, "Fly! Cyndi", and was supposed to cheer her up after her grandmother recently passed away.

The colorful kites reminded Cyndi of her childhood. She said her father always took her to fly them when she was a little girl.

Cyndi's album is to be released on December 30.
