HONG KONG, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The 2008 United in the Olympic Spirit calendar will be distributed free from Dec. 3 in Hong Kong to promote next year's Olympics, the Information Services Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government said Friday.

The calendar portrays the Olympic spirit of mutual understanding, friendship, unity, and fair competition. The calendar also highlights the pride and pleasure of Hong Kong citizens in co-organizing the Olympic equestrian events.

The calendar will be distributed at the Home Affairs Department's Public Enquiry Service Centers, public libraries, city halls and town halls, the Cultural Center, the Museum of History, and the Civic Education Resource in Wan Chai on a first-come, first- served basis, the department said.
