1st mainland airplane lands in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Jan. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- China Southern Airlines' charter plane carrying some 242 Taiwan business people and their families landed here Saturday morning after around 100 minutes of non-stop flight.

The landing of the Boeing 777 marked the first arrival of Chinese mainland's civil jet in Taiwan in 56 years.
