2 Taiwanese criminal suspects repatriated

BEIJING, Jan. 4(Xinhuanet)-- The Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau repatriated two Taiwanese suspects involved in kidnapping on Wednesday, according to a spokesman with the Ministry of Public Security.

One suspect, Lin Zhenxing, aged 45, had been listed as wanted in Taiwan Province for murder, obtaining weapons illegally and imperiling others' freedom. He sneaked into Dongguan in Guangdong and was seized by local police on Oct. 18, 2005.

The other suspect Wu Chaoshun, aged 38, had been wanted by Taiwan police for illegal possession and fraud. He was seized by local police in Dongguan on Oct. 26, 2005.

With increasing exchanges across the Taiwan Strait, some criminals have left Taiwan and hidden themselves on the mainland.

Police across the Strait have joined hands to crack down on illegal activities such as murder, kidnapping, robbery, fraud and drug trafficking, according to the spokesman. Enditem
