MOSCOW, Oct. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Russia's Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) on Wednesday wished the two Chinese astronauts a successful flight and declared its readiness to increase cooperation with China in all spheres of cosmonautics, including manned space flights, according to the Itar-Tass news agency.
"We are delighted at our Chinese friends' success and are readyto develop cooperation with them in all spheres, including manned space exploration," Deputy head of Roskosmos Nikolai Moiseyev said.
China's Shenzhou-6 spacecraft successfully sent two astronauts into the orbit at 9:00 a.m. Beijing time (0100GMT) on Wednesday. The flight is China' second manned space mission in two years.
Moiseyev said the recent visit by the first Chinese cosmonaut Yang Liwei to Russia opened new prospects for the two countries' cooperation in the sphere of manned space flights.
"We are very attentively watching the development of the Chinese space program," he said, recalling that Yang Liwei said in August on his visit to Moscow that he would like to fly aboard Russia's first space shuttle Kliper, which is planned to fly in 2012.
Yang Liwei paid a visit to Russia at the invitation of Roskosmos in August. Enditem
