SIZIWANG BANNER, Inner Mongolia, Oct. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Both the ground and aerial rescue teams have arrived at the appointed areas of the primary landing site in Siziwang Banner (county), Inner Mongolia, early Monday morning, waiting for the landing of Shenzhou-6, China's second manned spacecraft.

The two ground and aerial search and rescue squads, armed with 14 special vehicles and four helicopters and two stand-by copters,respectively, reported to the control center that all equipment was working well.

Earlier reports said the ground search and rescue team was composed of some 300 rescuers.

China's two taikonauts, Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, aboard Shenzhou-6 which blasted off Wednesday morning, reported to groundcontrol earlier they were making preparations for return.

The latest weather forecast shows that weather conditions in the landing site are in favor of the spacecraft's landing.

At a ceremony before the departure of the two squads, Li Dongheng, commander of search and rescue mission, urged all rescuers to spare no efforts to ensure the safety of the taikonauts. Enditem
